How to make it in life

Have you ever wondered what it takes to make it in life? Why do some people seem to get ahead while others struggle to make progress? While there are many factors that contribute to success, I believe there are three ways to make it in life: Be First, Be Smart, or Be a Cheater.

1. Be First

Sometimes, success comes down to being first. Be the first to recognize an opportunity, take initiative, step outside your comfort zone, or take action when others are still hesitating.

You don’t always have to be the most talented person in the room. Sometimes, you simply have to be the person willing to take the first step. While others are waiting for the perfect moment, be willing to create your own opportunities. Remember, opportunities don’t always wait for you to feel ready.

2. Be Smart

You don’t have to be first to succeed. You can also make it by being smart. Being smart isn’t necessarily about having the highest IQ or the most academic qualifications. It’s about making good decisions, thinking strategically, learning from your mistakes, and knowing how to adapt when circumstances change.

Smart people understand that success isn’t just about working hard; it’s also about working wisely. They recognize their strengths, learn from others, and position themselves to take advantage of opportunities. Don’t just work harder. Learn to work smarter.

3. Be a Cheater

Unfortunately, some people choose this route. They lie, manipulate, cut corners, and compromise their values to get ahead. And sometimes, it works. They get the promotion, the recognition, the money, or the position they desire. But at what cost?

You might be able to fool others, but you cannot escape the consequences of compromising your character. Your reputation, integrity, and the trust of others are far more valuable than any temporary advantage cheating might bring. Getting ahead is not the same as succeeding.

Moving Forward

Which path will you choose? Be first, be smart, or be a cheater? Whatever you do, don’t be a cheater. Success should never require you to sacrifice your character or compromise your values. Remember, life isn’t just about making it to the top. It’s about being able to look back and be proud of how you got there.

Be ambitious. Be strategic. Be relentless. But above all, be a person of integrity. Because the goal isn’t simply to make it in life. It’s to make it in life without losing yourself in the process.
